Writing on HubPages has completely changed my life for the better!

Okay, I'm embellishing a bit here. I'm not suggesting that HubPages can't completely change your life, but I haven't been on HubPages long enough to experience such a life altering transformational change ... or, have I?

Bear with me here for a moment. Give me a chance to explain ...

For Starters, Some Background on Me

Yes, some of us truly love to write. Personally, I'm on the fence. Sometimes I do enjoy to write, other times, it's a drag. I'll revisit this point in a few moments.

It's often tough to tell, but I'm a college graduate, stamped completed, Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Computer Science. My writing and grammer skills are lacking, though. Not due to the education I received at California State University, Chico, but rather the result of my lackluster effort and study habits.

Remember this point. My attention to detail, the effort I put forth, and my dedication (or lack there of), had a direct impact on what I got out of my education.

As it should come to no surprise, my Computer Science skills are lacking, too. My cop out, I didn't put nearly enough effort forward with this part of my education either and, in being honest with you and myself, I'm not naturally geared towards a genius in writing in a language that computers understand.

These shortcomings have nothing to do with the great education that was provided for me at Chico State. It did, however, have everything to do with me and what I made of the opportunity that was given to me.

Having Something Important to Say Even If Only You Believe It!

This Hub exemplifies a circumstance in which I do like to write. I actually have something important to say (important to me anyhow and hopefully providing something beneficial to you, too).

I'm not trying to market a product, and I don't have any ulterior motives in writing this Hub (well, for the most part) other than getting my thoughts down on a free virtual page provided to me courtesy of HubPages.

HubPages has given me an opportunity, and, unlike the opportunity given to me at Chico State, I have chosen to fully embrace this new opportunity with an open mind and open arms.

Since the gurus tell us that writing quality content is a necessity to online financial success, and writing quality content is most often born out of your passion for one thing or another, this article should hit the mark.

Even if it doesn't, I have something that I believe is important to say and I'm taking the time to say it!

Earning Passive Income Online Can Be Challenging

I've always been intrigued about learning how to earn passive income online. You don't have to be the brightest light bulb in the pack to realize that the opportunities available on the world wide web are undeniable and endless if you can actually get a few things figured out.

Of course, figuring out how to get a "few things figured out" has always been the elusive missing link for me, and I'm sure a challenge for many of you, too.

Since I'm self-employed and extremely busy running two businesses, I'm constantly dabbling and searching for a straightforward approach to earning online passive income that, with hard work and varying amounts of available time, can provide for a real potential to generate passive monthly income while earning it in a way that I can be proud of.

Earning Passive Income Online Through HubPages

The fruits of my online researching quest to learn more about earning money online, resulted in stumbling upon HubPages. More accurately, Googled upon!

After reading the countless reviews and feeling confident that HubPages offered a viable opportunity if we (HubPages, their Community of Hubbers, and I) worked together, I jumped in feet first, started a HubPages account, and have been extremely diligent in writing Hubs and trying to learn more about writing better Hubs each and every day.

I've been on HubPages for just over two weeks now and have written 26 Hubs (this Hub is my 27th) by spending roughly 2-8 hours a day (mostly in the middle of the night), working towards the 30 Hubs in 30 Days challenge that I've read so much about.

To this point, I haven't made a penny yet through Google's Adsense and Amazon's Affiliate program, but I'm extremely excited because my focus on earning money online writing for HubPages has forced me to learn a lot more about things that I've always paid attention to, but never really understood or taken the time to adequately pursue.

With a big thanks to HubPages and the helpful information that I've learned from all the Hubbers, that's slowly changing as I'm spending the time working to figure it out!

Okay, What's the Point?

Foolish or not, despite not yet having earned a penny through HubPages (yet, being the keyword), I know the monthly passive income will come because the HubPages tool is proven.

It's worked time and again for those few who have actually taken the time to use the tool and have diligently worked towards learning all they can regarding what the tool has to offer.

You need to know this, too! Don't take my word for it, check out the countless HubPages success stories of Hubbers who have achieved this passive income generating reality.

Now, here's the rub that nobody want's to hear and that everyone spends hours trying to figure a way around! Hours that could be spent building the foundation to start earning online income, squandered in spending these precious hours trying to find an easier way out.

Read carefully - I didn't come across any reviews of Hubber success stories boasting that they started earning $1k a month online after their initial 24-hours with HubPages. Their online financial success was largely measured by efforts put forth in months and years, rather than minutes and hours!

Quite simply, their success was born from hard work, trial and error, and believing in the exponential power of growth when you stick with something and give it time to grow.

Common sense, right? Yes. Is it what most people are willing to do? Absolutely not!

Let's be realistic. This process is not always fun, and it's certainly not always as sexy as we're led to believe (especially in the beginning). Despite this, follow the process you must as it's vitally important in constructing a solid foundation that can be expanded upon.

As it relates to HubPages, following the process means being persistent in taking the time to write good Hubs and putting forth the effort to ensure that each Hub is written to be as good it can be. Your online financial success and that of the HubPages Community depends upon it. You won't achieve perfection in this persuit, but you'll achieve little, if any, success without this being your guiding force.

If you think I'm wrong, you're only fooling yourself. If you're looking for immediate financial success, head down to 7-Eleven and purchase a scratcher or a lottery ticket and see where that gets you or be lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time when the universe aligns and someone takes the time to not only notice, but actually act upon the fact, that you have an exceptional talent similar to that wonderfully golden voice of Ted Williams.

Wait, Why Should I Listen When You Haven't Earned a Penny Through HubPages

Most likely, you won't listen to me because you don't want to hear what I have to say. In fact, I doubt most people even made it this far down in the Hub as most readers probably already skipped off to the next get rich quick scheme. Yes, the scheme where you don't get rich, but you do make the person selling you the dream richer! Off course, I do acknowledge that my writing skills may also be partially to blame!

As with any business, this, too, takes an immense amount of hard work, dedication, and persistence to achieve a certain level of success. For most people, this is where the dream begins and where it quickly comes to an end. In fact, my first pass at earning online passive income illustrates that I, too, have been guilty of failing to practice this.

Even though I haven't earned a penny yet through my HubPage Hubs, I have earned $96.56 from Google's Adsense program by having mindlessly slapped some Google Adsense adds into a couple of small real estate blogs that I started a number of years back. In fact, this morning, I earned $.56 from a click-through on a blog associated with my real estate investing business.

My failing - I didn't follow through with an appropriate level of dedication and provided almost zero maintenance to my online work. Clearly, a great recipe in how not to earn life altering amounts of passive monthly income through online advertising and affiliate marketing.

In short, I got out of it exactly what I put into it and the same will hold true for you, too!

Rather than focusing in on the negatives, my rather meager earnings should be an inspiration to you, rather than a deterrent, in demonstrating what can be achieved when you take the time to learn and do it right.

Success is Often Born Out of Our Failures

You know the phrase that goes something like this, "If you don't first succeed, try, try again. It's cliche, but incredibly true!

You have to get started by planting some seeds, ensuring that these seeds are placed in a nutrient rich growing environment, and then consistently spend the time to water these seeds until they turn into flourishing plants.

This process is no different with HubPages. You've been provided the fertile growing environment. Now, you need to get started planting the income generating seeds by writing Hubs! Each Hub has the potential to become an income generating seed if you handle it with care and the appropriate attention to detail that it requires.

You have to give it time. Most likely, you won't see the fruits of your labor until some time down the road. Just know that, like our plants, your Hubs will flourish and consistently produce online passive income if you take care of it.

It's not the exception, it's the proven rule!

My Parting Thoughts ...

Earning passive monthly income online is work, especially hard work in the beginning. Don't let anyone fool you into believing otherwise!

Like any other business, you have to put forth the effort, persist through the difficult times, and learn from those who are doing it better than you because of their experience.
